“Hello everyone for those of you that don’t know me, my name is Stefanie and Anthony and I have known each other about five years or so. Let me first start by saying what a gorgeous wedding this has been and congrats to the newlyweds Anthony and Rolando!

Anthony and I used to work together, which is where we met and quickly bonded and became close friends. Anthony was always somebody I knew I could go to in confidence and trust with anything that was weighing on me and give me the best advice but not without a couple of jokes, of course.

I spent so many hours on the phone with Anthony having “girl talk “. We talked about all kinds of things, and especially about boys. If you know anything about Anthony, he’s a bit of a night owl, and luckily, so am I. Whenever I couldn’t sleep at night, I would text Anthony if it was 2 o’clock in the morning because I knew he was likely awake also. We had so many text conversations about all things and to this day we still text each other on occasion in the middle of the night, usually between the hours of one and 4 AM ha ha ha

I remember the first time Anthony finally told me that he met someone. The smile on his face, and the sparkle in his eyes said it all, but He was very secretive about who this mystery man was. Although it did not take him too long to tell me that Mr. mystery man was actually a case manager at one of the accounts he went to . I learned that mystery man’s name was Rolando and heard so many wonderful things about their conversations, and when they would meet up and heard about what they did, and the adventures they had and I knew that this relationship had potential

When things started to get a little more serious, and there were nights spent together, I would wake up to a message from Anthony bragging about how sweet Rolando was and what a great time they had together. Now I think we all know that in relationships it’s the little things that matter the most sometimes.

One of those “little “things was Rolando would leave cute love notes written on the bathroom mirror. You know like with a dry erase marker. Anthony sent me a picture the first time this happened and he was like a giddy Little kid . I know this happened often and maybe it’s still does it, but Anthony was just glowing all the time. He would call and text me all the time and tell me about all the cute little gestures, Rolando made.

After some time dating Anthony told me about a conversation back in 2021 they had and I believe it was Anthony telling Rolando I’m gonna marry you one day. Neither of them maybe really knew where the road was taking them, but I think deep down their heart was leading them in the right direction, and they both knew we would all be here today.

When it came time for the proposal, Rolando wanted it to be absolutely perfect, and, it definitely was. Rolando reached out to me to help him and give my opinions on a picture slideshow of their relationship that he was putting together and at the end Wanted to ask Anthony to marry him.

I could hardly get halfway through the video before I was bawling at the amazing pictures of all the beautiful adventures they had already been on, and they were not even married yet. I was so excited for this moment, and Anthony, You have to know how hard it was for me to not tell you because I told you everything. But I promised Rolando and kept a secret.

I knew they were not rushing but I knew they did not want to wait forever to get married. They got a house together and moved in and created this beautiful life and family with two fur babies. And then they were ready to take the leap. A few months ago Anthony text me a save the date and it didn’t say we’re getting married or anything like that. He just said save the date October 20 and I immediately knew that’s when the wedding was going to be. There was no doubt in my mind that I would make sure to be here to celebrate these two.

The more I learned about Rolando and talked to him and got to know him as well the more I knew that he is the person that was put on this earth just for Anthony. Anthony’s eyes would light up when he would talk about you and tell me all the cute, sweet things that everybody wants in a relationship. I’m not gonna lie. I was a bit jealous.

Anthony, you have been there for me through all of my rough times, and always a soundboard for me to vent to. Anthony was always there to tell me that everything was going to be ok. That is what a true friend is. Somebody you can trust and confide in and tell your deepest maybe most embarrassing, secrets to and knowing wholeheartedly that they have your best interest at heart. And sometimes you need that person to tell you the tough things that others are not willing to tell you.

That is what these two absolutely handsome men have with each other. And that is a true foundation for a long, lasting relationship.

You are just amazing human beings. You are both some of the most kind, caring, and compassionate people I have ever met. You go out of your way to help others, even if it puts you out. You are fun, loving, light hearted, and intelligent. Yet you are also not afraid to speak your mind, and stand up for yourself, and those you love. Take a look around. You guys did it. You’ve got here today, MARRIED and just look at all the people here tonight that love and support you both. your lifetime adventure is only just beginning.

I am so excited for the next chapter in your relationship, and to see all the beautiful things you guys will do together. You truly have the type of relationship that most people long for.

I could go on and on about how amazing the two of you are again as a couple and just as individuals. I think you two truly make each other stronger in every way. I am so ecstatic for you, and truly wish you nothing but joy and happiness and good health For the rest of your lives.

So again, I am honored to be giving a speech here today and call you my friends. Your wedding is beautiful and classy just like the two of you inside and out Congratulations and let’s give it up one more time for our newlyweds, Anthony and Rolando!!!”

“So Im surprised they let me give a speech today for a few reasons.


1) public speaking is terrifying,
2) I threatened for weeks this was going to be a song and dance and
3) there are so many juicy things to share with the world so here we go!


This all started a few years back when I met Rolando at work. While he wasnt my direct supervisor he was the manager always in the office that always smiled and said hi. He ended up turning into my boss and we were in idg together where he was just writing so aggressively. So in my mind I thought why is he writing so aggressively and what came out of my mouth was why are you writing so aggressively and he just starts apologizing, and I was like Im just joking around. Well after idg ended I was leaving the office and Rolando was coming back from wherever he went and we were saying bye and as I was getting onto the elevator he said and Im sorry again for how I was writing and I said I was just trying to get you to laugh and he just gave me those famous Rolando hugs and thats when it hit me- he needs someone who is hysterically funny in his life. So it then progressed to me leaving him a fake parking ticket on his car windshield that he finds as hes already driving 80 mph on the freeway, to hiding under his desk and scaring him, to wrapping his car in butcher paper. In the midst of all of this he made the fatal error of calling my work phone from his personal number. And because of this mistake on his part, to this day hes left with daily voicemails of songs and random stories and complaints about the Denver traffic. And Rolando being Rolando, puts up with it!!


Rolando had taken some time off work and we didn’t have the friendship at this point in time for me to bother him constantly on his personal phone so then there was Anthony! Anthony being the marketer he is tolerated it and essentially turned into an enabler to the craziness and he too made the mistake of saying I could call him anytime. Well to this day he is left with daily voicemails of songs and random stories and complaints about the Denver traffic. Because he was one of the marketers in the territory I was a case manager at he was roped into meeting up for Slushies so we could have slushie talks and catch up on the 411 at work together and even this escalated to kidnappings for joyrides around the town. And Anthony being Anthony said he was going to jump out of the car if I didnt return him to his vehicle and did not tolerate the singing and kidnappings.


The journey these two have been on his more than some couples experience together and it has done nothing but make them stronger. They compliment each other so well- Rolando is the genuine, sympathetic, funny one and Anthony is the talkative, hysterical and so…so savagely honest one and together they blend to create this relationship that is filled with passion, commitment, honesty and sturdiness that is so rare to come by. It has been amazing to see these two grow together through all the obstacles and I cant wait to see what other journeys lie ahead for you all.”

Today is such a special day, and I feel so honored to stand here and celebrate the love between my brother, Rolando, and his wonderful fiancé, Anthony. Watching the two of you together has been a beautiful reminder of what it means to find someone who loves you unconditionally and supports you wholeheartedly.

Rolando, you have overcome so much in your life to get to this moment. You’ve always been driven, a true fighter who never gives up, no matter what challenges come your way. You’ve shown immense strength. Beneath that strength, you are also one of the most loving and caring people I know. You have this brilliant mind — I always call you the brainiac of the family — You’ve given so much of yourself to those you love, and today, I am overjoyed that you’ve found someone who loves you just as deeply.

Anthony, you are such a wonderful person, and you deserve this happiness just as much. I can see how much love and support you bring to Rolando’s life, and I know that together, the two of you will continue to build a life filled with joy, laughter, and, most importantly, unconditional love. You both deserve this special moment and all the happiness in the world.

As you begin this next chapter together, please know that you are surrounded by people who love you, support you, and will always be here for you, no matter what. I hope you continue to build a beautiful life together, filled with the love and respect that brought you here today. You two truly deserve this day, and I couldn’t be prouder of you both.
